BEAUTIFUL NATALIE PORTMAN

Gemma Ward, the strikingly thin model who once captivated the international fashion scene, has piled on weight as she continues to struggle with the loss of friend Heath Ledger. Ward, seen last week on a Byron Bay beach, is due back on the runway in February and is believed to be madly exercising.

The Sunday Telegraph understands her weight gains have been exacerbated by the shocking death of the actor, rumoured to have been her lover, a year ago.“I was really surprised when I saw her, considering what she used to look like - I had to do a double-take after I saw how much weight she had put on,” one onlooker told The Sunday Telegraph. After Ledger’s death, Ward announced that she planned to take a year off to go trekking in Nepal and spend time with friends and family.“She knows she did let herself go during the year, but she had fun doing it, just being herself and doing whatever she wanted,” one friend, who did not want to be named, said.Ward’s older sister, Sophie, also gave up modelling after Ledger died.“I can’t speak for Gemma, but I did stop (modelling) when Heath died because death really makes you re-evaluate what’s important in your life,” she said when contacted by The Sunday Telegraph.

In 2007, Ward earned $3 million from her doll-face looks and was ranked by Forbes magazine as the 11th most highly paid model in the world.Ward, who divides her time between Australia, Los Angeles and New York, has spent the past few weeks renting a beachside mansion at Suffolk Park with fellow West Australian model Nicole Trunfio.Although Trunfio has been spotted partying with Cheyenne Tozzi, Jason Dundas and Sneaky Sound System’s Daimon Downey, Ward has kept a low profile, staying indoors and swimming at a private beach in front of her rented house.Ward, 21, was photographed at Tallow Beach on Friday morning, looking very different to the “alien chic” supermodel that secured 24 Vogue covers in Australia, the US, Britain, China and India.Braving a wind storm, she emerged from the water in a conservative black one-piece.Onlookers said Ward was barely recognisable as the supermodel who, at the age of 16, became the youngest female to grace the cover of US Vogue.Ward has been exercising daily with the help of a personal trainer, but the pair have remained indoors.A fashion insider explained that Ward would have to keep a low profile if she wanted to protect her future earnings.“Every kilo a model puts on costs them thousands in potential advertising dollars,” the insider said. Style Stalker: Gemma Ward

Models, like stylists, generally fall into one of two camps when it comes to what they wear off-duty. They either dress like they’re completely apathetic about clothes or they wear unidentifiable, fantastically cool outfits. Guess which category Gemma Ward fall into? As the Australian stunner is one of our favorite models to watch, we thought she’d make a perfect Style Stalker.

Part of the reason we’re fans of Gemma Ward’s look because she rarely wears those instantly recognizable designer pieces. While this makes pinpointing her exact shirt for a story a wildly difficult task, it does lend itself to today’s story.

Ward-watchers know that Gemma has a few signature items she never leaves the house without. She’s a big fan of bags with long straps (worn over the shoulder or across-body), almost always wears a belt, and the majority of the time can be found in flats.

In the first look, Gemma spiced up a simple, single shoulder, black dress with one of fall’s most important accessories, the interlocking belt. Topshop’s red and gold elastic belt is an inexpensive and darling addition to anyone’s closet. A long strap, gold metallic bag and classic, black peep-toe heels complete the stalk.

The second look makes a strong argument against matchy-matchyness. Unlike some red carpet relics, Gemma mashes tan, black, and gray accessories to great effect. The proportions of the dress are exactly right—the long sleeves balance the short hemline and bright color. As for shoes, while there are lots of cap-toe shoes this season, we liked the soft color and black accents of the pair above. If you simply must have a flat with a black patent leather toe, head to Steve Madden’s website where you can custom design a pair for under $100. We created a classic low heel (AKA round-toe flat) in tan nubuck with black patent leather trim and cap-toe that’s beyond cute. Doing it ourselves is quite fun! Click here to design your own!

natalia vodianova

About Natalia Vodianova
Natalia Vodianova (born 28 February 1982) is a Russian supermodel.
Natalia Vodianova and Fredrik Ljungberg in a commercial for Calvin Klein. Born in Gorky (now Nizhni Novgorod), Russia's third largest city, she lived with her mother and two half-sisters in unpleasant conditions. Her mother's abusive boyfriends and a tight financial situation dogged her throughout childhood.

Helping her mother with her fruit stall business at the tender age of 11, Vodianova moved into her own apartment with a friend at 15 years old. They started their own fruit stall to help out the struggling family and were actually quite successful, all things considered. They were able to help out Vodianova's sisters, one of whom is an invalid.

八天瘋狂北海道DAY4

Day 4

Hotel Edel Warme
史迪仔又累又餓又要找吃
酒店 Reception 大叔介紹我們去山人試燒魚
